R aymond A. Rogers teaches at York University. He spent twelve of the last fifteen years as a full-time fisherman and part-time carpenter in Little Harbour, Nova Scotia, and is a founding member of the Environmental Studies Association of Canada. He has been active in forging links between the fisheries and environmental concerns for the last five years.
