The Trojan Horse

Alberta and the Future of Canada

Gordon Laxer and Trevor Harrison, editors

Ralph Klein's Alberta is the model touted by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal of how to harness middle-class insecurity to remake Canada. If Canadians want to learn where the Klein model is taking them, they need to look no farther than this powerful anthology.

Based on extensive research from many impressive contributors, the book is a compelling indictment of the Klein revolution.
Linda McQuaig, author of Shooting the Hippo

Facts, clear prose, and the courage to tell it straight make this book essential reading.
Duncan Cameron

Widely excerpted, cited and debated, The Trojan Horse has had the effect of giving Albertans permission to fight their own government.
Globe and Mail

A powerful new book shines a bright and uncomfortable light on Ralph's Revolution. This book deserves, nay demands, a read.
Edmonton Journal

The best account of the right in power in Canada is The Trojan Horse . . . it is a thorough analysis of every aspect of the Klein government and should be replicated by social activists in Ontario.

Peel away the careful packaging of the Klein government's record and what have you got? This book tells the story. Facts, clear prose, and the courage to tell it straight make it essential reading.
